Result: Arsenal beat Sunderland to take top-four race to final day

Arsenal have ensured that the race for a top-four finish will go down to the final day of the Premier League season courtesy of a 2-0 win over Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium this evening. The Gunners knew that only a win would do if they were to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Manchester City, but it took them until the 72nd minute to find the breakthrough against their already-relegated opponents.
