Gary Lineker urges Jamie Vardy to snub 'perennial also-rans' Arsenal
Former Leicester City striker Gary Lineker has urged Jamie Vardy to stay at the club amid reported interest from Arsenal. The 29-year-old registered 24 league goals last season to help the Foxes to the Premier League title, including a record-breaking run of scoring in 11 consecutive games. However, reports emerged earlier today that Arsenal, whose 12-year wait for a league title continued courtesy of a second-placed finish last term, have triggered a £20m release clause in Vardy's contract.
