Arsenal escalate pursuit of £30m defender amid Gabriel and Mertesacker doubts
According to reports from Football Insider, Arsenal are stepping up their interest in Roma centre-back Kostas Manolas ahead of the summer transfer window. The Gunners came close to signing the Greek international in summer 2013 but an £8million deal collapsed as he made way for the Stadio Olimpico instead – where he has since flourished into one of Europe's leading young defenders.
