Mertesacker Insists Arsenal Lack Discipline And Desperation
It has been revealed that Per Mertesacker slammed Arsenal's defending for their draw with Crystal Palace. The German defender was on the bench on Sunday as the Gunners dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium. 'It's about discipline,' he said. 'We lacked a bit of that desperation, even when we were 2-0 up at West Ham, to defend and get everyone behind the ball. 'To come back to that level is absolutely important in the Premier League, and if you don't you will get punished. These details are very important to us and everyone can see it, it is obvious.'
