Chelsea boss looking to beat Arsenal to Serie A striker
Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the summer race to sign Juventus star Alvaro Morata amid concerns over the future of their current attackers, CalcioMercato reports. The 23-year-old is also being tracked by Liverpool, with Real Madrid having the option to trigger a £23.7million buyback clause for his services. Blues boss Antonio Conte is believed to be considering his options up top given that Diego Costa, Loic Remy, and Radamel Falcao have all been linked with an exit in recent months. The Serie A giants are also ready to resign him should Real follow through with their decision to bring the striker back to his former side before letting him depart for a higher fee.
