Arsene Wenger: Why I dropped Nacho Monreal against Spurs

Nacho Monreal started on the bench for Arsenal
The left-back was a shock omission from the starting line up with Kieran Gibbs replacing him. And Wenger revealed Arsenal's recent hectic schedule and a minor calf problem was the reason he was left on the bench. He said: "We play every three games at the moment, we have some knocks like Nacho Monreal who is not 100% so you try to freshen up. "He has a slight calf problem."
