Nacho Monreal close to new Arsenal contract - Arsene Wenger
Nacho Monreal has made 20 Premier League appearances this season. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that left-back Nacho Monreal is close to signing a new contract at the club. Monreal, 29, joined Arsenal from Malaga in January 2013 and he has since made 111 appearances for the side in all competitions. The Spain international's current terms with the Gunners expire next year, but having emerged as a regular in Arsene Wenger's starting XI the Gunners are keen to extend his stay.
