Arsenal surprisingly linked with £20m Premier League powerhouse
Today's award for bizarre Arsenal transfer rumour goes to the Daily Star, who claim that Arsene Wenger is looking to sign Watford's powerhouse striker Troy Deeney. It's no secret that we're badly in need of reinforcements in the forward department, and have been linked with every striker under the sun at one point or another. This link to Deeney is definitely one of the more questionable though, and it's hard to imagine there being any truth in the rumour. Wenger has regularly stressed that he is only in the market for top, top quality players, with the Frenchman only looking for talent that will seriously improve the squad.
