[Player ratings] Southampton 4-0 Arsenal – Mertesacker & Koscielny fall to pieces
We missed our chance to go top of the table in a big way on Boxing Day, crashing to a 4-0 defeat against Southampton. We'll still be confident of our chances to lift the title this season, but after that performance questions will obviously be asked. Here's how we rated the players from our 4-0 loss against Southampton: GK) Petr Cech – 5.5 He couldn't really have done anything either of the first two goals, and you can hardly blame him for the third. He wasn't his usual commanding self though, and certainly could have done far better for the fourth goal.
