Southampton 4-0 Arsenal: Saints trounce pitiful Gunners
Same old Arsenal. Just when you think they can take the lead in the Premier League title race they throw it away with a dreadful display against a mid-table side. Southampton were more than deserving of their win as they were ruthless all over the park, and terrorised their toothless visitors, with Cuco Martina, Shane Long (2) and Jose Fonte grabbing their goals in a 4-0 victory. Arsene Wenger who, just days earlier, saw his side dismantle title rivals Manchester City, will be perplexed by his side’s performance but the truth is that they just did not show enough fight and were easily humbled.
