Mathieu Debuchy 'not a target for Juventus'

A report claims that Italian giants Juventus are not looking to sign Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy in January, despite previous suggestions to the contrary.

Juventus have no interest in signing Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy, according to a report.

The 30-year-old had been linked with a move to the Italian giants after falling out of favour in North London.

It had been suggested that Juve saw the right-back as an ideal transfer target, with Stephan Lichtsteiner currently sidelined due to a cardiac issue.

However, Sky Sports News claims that these rumours are wide of the mark, and no approach will be made for the France international once the transfer window re-opens in January.

Debuchy, who is now playing second fiddle to Hector Bellerin at the Emirates Stadium, has also been tipped with a return to former side Newcastle United.
