Welbeck, Ozil and more Arsenal stars try some Australian slang
Ahead of Arsenal's imminent preseason trip to Australia, the club put several of their players through an introductory course in the local slang. The likes of Alex-Chamberlain, Danny Welbeck, Alex Iwobi, Olivier Giroud, Nacho Monreal and Mesut Ozil were all presented with a selection of Aussie dialect and asked to repeat them using the requisite accent. Oxlade-Chamberlain sounds like a natural and Welbeck managed a decent approximation, but the rest of the squad struggled to grasp the proper Australian vernacular. As for Mesut Ozil?
