Arsenal transfer news: Gunners begin Theo Walcott contract talks
Arsenal Arsenal have begun negotiations with Theo Walcott over a new contract, says manager Arsene Wenger. Earlier this week Walcott claimed on Twitter that talks had not taken place and he was fully focused on playing well. "There have been no contract talks as yet and my current focus is not on contracts but on doing my best for Arsenal FC," he said. However, Wenger has contradicted the player, telling beIN Sports: “We start to negotiate with Theo to extend his contract. Personally I would like to keep him." One player heavily linked with a move to the Emirates is Chris Smalling, although reports suggest Manchester United will reject any offer from the Gunners....
