Germany international Per Mertesacker sparked a social media storm when he claimed that Arsenal deserved to beat Tottenham in the North London derby. The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw against Tottenham at the Emirates on Sunday but the experienced centre-back – who did not actually play – thought that his side should have won all three points.
