Vardy Explains Why He Snubbed Arsenal
Jamie Vardy has explained why he opted to snub a move to Arsenal in the summer after the Gunners had agreed to pay his release clause. The Leicester City striker looked set to be moving to north London after winning the title with the Foxes before ultimately deciding to remain at the King Power Stadium and signing a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2019. Vardy says that while he was tempted to make the move he was concerned he would not fit in with Arsenal’s style of play. 'With people like Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil creating chances, Arsenal felt they could benefit me as much as I could them,' he said according to The Sun.
