Wenger Confirms Key Signing Will Arrive This Summer
Arsene Wenger has vowed to bring in a central defender during the transfer window this summer. Arsenal are without a host of first team players and the team showed their frailties at the back in the last match against Liverpool (via The Metro). It has been a problem position for Arsenal for a number of seasons but the injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista have really pressed the issue. The back four looked atrocious under the Liverpool pressure during that second half spell last week and it’s clear that reinforcements are needed.
