Arsenal In Contact With Barcelona For Jeremy Mathieu
Reports are out claiming that Arsenal have made contact with Barcelona for Jeremy Mathieu about a move to London. The Gunners are in the market for a new centre-half and French media sources say talks have also opened with Mathieu's agents. The defender has seen his playing chances at Barca further recede with the additions of fellow French defenders Lucas Digne and Samuel Umtiti. Mathieu has turned down an approach from Besiktas, but the chance to move to Arsenal could be another matter, says SFR Sport. The 32 year-old is tied to Barca until 2018 and if he agrees to move to the Gunners, Barca won't stand in his way.
