Son of Arsenal legend signs with Gunners' academy
The legacy of former Arsenal winger Robert Pires will continue at the Emirates for years to come as the team has signed the son of the French legend. In a recent Instagram post, Pires confirmed that Arsenal had signed his son, Theo, to an academy contract. Being only seven years old, it will probably be a decade at least before young Theo is ready to play football at a senior level – let alone with Arsenal. But he has as solid a football pedigree as anyone in the world. Robert Pires won two Premier League titles and three FA Cup titles with Arsenal during his six years with the club, earning three PFA Team of the Year honours.
