Greater Manchester Police investigate racist tweet aimed at Danny Welbeck
Greater Manchester Police are reportedly investigating a racist tweet directed at Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck. The offensive message was sent on social media after the England international scored the winner against his former club Manchester United in Monday night's FA Cup quarter-final 2-1 win at Old Trafford. According to The Independent, the Twitter account using the handle @AngelsLeftFoot has since been deleted after a tweet containing, "Welbeck is dead to me, the fucking cunt...", among a number of racist references, was posted. Welbeck, who began his career at United, left the North-West outfit last summer to join Arsenal for £16m.
