Southampton star hints at exit, but scraps Arsenal talk
Morgan Schneiderlin has hinted that he’s ready to leave Southampton by claiming that he wants to play at the “highest level”, but has rubbished talk that he will join Arsenal this summer. The French midfielder was one of only a few star names from the Saints’ successful 2013/14 campaign to stay at St Mary’s during last year’s ‘exodus’ of big players such as Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw and Rickie Lambert. And in truth, Schneiderlin’s form has improved as a result, with the Les Bleus international now, arguably, the South Coast club’s key man in midfield, with his performances having been key in Southampton’s shock top four charge.
