Man United and Arsenal to battle for £14million Germany defender
Manchester United and Arsenal are set to go head-to-head in the battle to sign FC Schalke captain Benedikt Howedes this summer, according to reports from the Mirror. The Red Devils and the Gunners are keeping a close eye on the Howedes, who is currently valued at £14million by the Bundesliga club. United boss Louis van Gaal is extremely keen on reinforcing his defence, and the Mirror believe the Dutchman is targeting the Germany international centre-back. Football Friends?
