Giroud Admits Jackson Martinez Rumours Inspired FA Cup Double
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud had admitted that talk of Porto ace Jackson Martinez joining in the summer inspired him last week. Giroud struck twice in Arsenal's FA Cup win over Middlesbrough after hearing of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger praising the Colombian. 'Recently, there has been a buzz about Jackson Martinez. The coach said he likes him and the player says he would like to come,' Giroud told L'Equipe. 'I learned that before Middlesbrough. It gave me extra motivation. 'I was happy to score two goals.'
