Petr Cech Did All The Running With Chelsea Move – Wenger
It has been reported that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he didn't have to do any of the running to land Petr Cech from Chelsea. The Chelsea legend, 33, could equal the Premier League record for clean sheets in Sunday's derby against Tottenham. Jose Mourinho tried to block Cech's £10million summer switch but Wenger said: “I met Petr and he told me he could be available for that money and I said: ‘For that money, I'll do it, so you do the job'. 'I had no fight with Chelsea, honestly.' Blues owner Roman Abramovich sanctioned the deal after Cech's success in turning the club into domestic and European champions.
