Arsenal boss plotting move for Benzema's unsettled Real Madrid teammate
We were heavily linked with a move for Karim Benzema over the summer (via the Daily Star), but were unable to lure him away from Real Madrid for whatever reason. Arsene Wenger looks to have given up hope of signing the French forward (at least for the moment), and has instead turned to his Bernabeu teammate Jese Rodriguez, according to The Telegraph. The 22-year-old boasts a huge amount of promise, but isn't getting the game time he wants or needs at Real Madrid. This has led to rumours of an exit for the Spaniard, with The Telegraph claiming that Arsene Wenger is among those monitoring the situation.
