David Seaman defends Arsene Wenger's lack of summer spending
Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has defended Arsene Wenger's decision not to spend heavily in the summer transfer window and insists that he still 'trusts' him. The Gunners made just one signing in the transfer window - an £11m purchase for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech. Wenger has been criticised for the lack of activity, but Seaman believes that the Frenchman was right not to splurge for the sake of it. "He knows the players that he likes," Seaman told The Express.
