British football clubs playing in European competitions to help refugees
British football clubs competing in the Champions League and Europa League will donate money to help refugees in the ongoing crisis. The European Club Association has backed the campaign 90 Minutes for Hope, which will involve clubs donating one euro from each ticket sold for their first home match in their respective competitions. Manchester United and Celtic have agreed to support the scheme, while English clubs Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have been asked to get involved.
