£21m Arsenal target rejects new contract to force transfer
We have long been linked with a move for Julian Draxler (via the Mirror), but looked set to miss out. Schalke have apparently looked to tie him down to a new long-term contract, but the German youngster has rejected the deal in an attempt to force a move away, according to Italian publication Football Italia. As the report suggests, Draxler has looked close to a move to Serie A side Juventus in recent weeks, but the deal is yet to go through. Arsene Wenger is known to be a fan of the talented 21-year-old, so it's possible he could be tempted by a last ditch bid.
