Liverpool boss hails newbie as Reds’ answer to Arsenal superstar
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that Roberto Firmino shares a “lot of similarities” with his Arsenal counterpart, Alexis Sanchez. The Reds snapped up the Brazil international over the summer from Hoffenheim in a deal that could eventually cost the club £29m. Like Sanchez, Firmino is an attacking midfielder who is able to play in any position across the frontline, and his addition came 12 months after the Merseysiders lost out on the Chilean to Arsenal.
