Arsene Wenger Plays Down Arsenal Move For Karim Benzema
Arsene Wenger has revealed that Arsenal are not about to sign Karim Benzema from Real Madrid. Reports in Spain over the weekend suggested that the Gunners were set to offer £46million for the French striker as they look to put the finishing touches on their squad for the 2015/16 Premier League season. Arsenal has long been linked with Benzema but after winning the Community Shield over Chelsea on Sunday, manager Wenger played down claims that the north London club were set to bring in the attacker who is contracted with Real until 2019.
