Arsenal officially announce midfielder's Emirates exit
Young midfielder Jon Toral has been sent out on loan once again, with the Spaniard securing a move to Championship side Birmingham City, as reported by Arsenal.com. The 20-year-old has looked close to the fringes of the first team for quite some time, but has failed to truly impress in the few glimpses we've had of him – mostly in pre-season tours and the Capital One Cup. He has consequently been farmed out on loan, and will once again spend a season away from the Emirates. Toral enjoyed a successful spell with Brentford last season, making 37 appearances and scoring six goals in the process – including an impressive hat-trick against a struggling Blackpool side.
