Chelsea target highly-rated Bundesliga defender to replace Atletico Madrid-bound Filipe Luis
Chelsea defender Filipe Luis is set for a swift return to former club Atletico Madrid amid reports that the Blues are closing in on the signing of highly-rated Ghanian defender Abdul Baba Rahman. The Brazilian defender struggled to force his way past first-choice left-back Cesar Azpilicueta in Jose Mourinho's starting XI last season as the pace and physicality of English football seemed too much for Luis to handle. After signing from Atletico for a reported fee of £15.9million last summer, the 28-year-old is set to rejoin the Vicente Calderon outfit despite having two years left on his contract with the reigning Barclays Premier League champions.
