Newcastle To Challenge Arsenal For Marseille Winger Florian Thauvin
It has been reported that Newcastle United have tabled a new bid for Olympique Marseille winger Florian Thauvin. Le Sport 10 claims that Newcastle have offered an improved 15 million for the French midfielder. Marseille president Vincent Labrune has sold Dimitri Payet to West Ham United and Giannelli Imbula to Porto over the past week, but still needs to sell again to balance the books. Labrune was in England last month and offered Thauvin to Tottenham for 12 million – a proposal that Spurs turned down. The OM president is now giving serious thought to Newcastle's offer today.
