Arsenal mocked after unwanted star scoops surprise Premier League award
Arsenal opened themselves up to mockery once again after congratulating loanee Joe Willock for claiming the Premier League player of the month award. The Gunners have had a disastrous campaign, failing to qualify for European competition for the first time in 25 years. There have been very few impressive performers in an Arsenal shirt in Mikel Arteta's first full season in charge. But one player who has shone is Willock, who wasn't required when sent out on loan to Newcastle in January. Willock was awarded the May player of the month award after a superb end to a brilliant loan spell at St. James' Park.
