£1.5m loan: Arsenal secure incredible deal as defender departs
Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson is set to join Sunderland on a season-long loan this summer after we agreed a £1.5million deal with the Black Cats, the Mirror reports. Jenkinson spent last season on loan at West Ham and the report stresses that we're set to extend his contract as Arsene Wenger sees him as a major part of our future. We have an embarrassment of riches at right-back with Hector Bellerin, Mathieu Debuchy and Calum Chambers all competing for the same position.
