Five footballers who made surprise retirement u-turns as Lescott joins Murcia
Joleon Lescott is set to make a spectacular return to football with Racing Murcia in Spain. The third division outfit have announced on social media that they were able to convince the former England and Manchester City defender to restart his career for their upcoming clash. Murcia are set to take on La Liga outfit Levante in the Copa del Rey on December 16, and they will have an unexpected veteran in their ranks in the form of Lescott, 38. Daily Star Sport have now taken a look at five former professionals that made similar moves back into action, including fellow Premier League winners Petr Cech, Paul Scholes, Arjen Robben and Jens Lehman.
