Aubameyang latest with Arsenal star closing in on three-year contract
The latest update on the contract saga between Arsenal and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a positive one and has been called a case of 'when not if'. Arsenal are desperate to tie the forward down to a new deal with his current one set to expire next summer. They are keen on avoiding situations in the past with players such as Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey. The 31-year-old is one of Mikel Arteta's most important players, finishing the season with 29 goals. But rumours over his future emerged over the season, with the likes of Manchester United and Barcelona interested.
