Ligue 1 star targeted after Arsenal opt to pass on Schneiderlin
A defensive midfielder is high on the priority list this summer, and Arsene Wenger has once again turned his attention to AS Monaco's Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Arsenal rumours The Frenchman has been superb this season, and unfortunately played a major role in ejecting us from the Champions League. The 23-year-old looks like he would be an excellent acquisition, and would fit in well at the Emirates. He isn't a pure defensive midfielder like Francis Coquelin, as he does tend to get forward on occasion.
