Athletic Bilbao 'consider move for Nacho Monreal'
Ahtletic Bilbao are considering a bid for Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal, according to reports. The left-back started in Arsenal's FA Cup triumph over Aston Villa yesterday, and the 29-year-old's contract will expire next summer. Monreal has made wage demands, according to as.com, which the Gunners are unlikely to accept, meaning Arsene Wenger is willing to listen to offers for the Spaniard. Bilbao have reportedly contacted Arsenal to see if they would sell Monreal for a fee much smaller than the £8m they paid Malaga for the defender's services in 2013.
