Giovanni van Bronckhorst appointed manager of Feyenoord
In vaguely interesting ex-player news, Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been appointed as the new manager of Dutch side Feyenoord. After losing their last game 3-0, the Eredivisie outfit brought forward plans to replace Fred Rutten with the former Gunner. They released a statement, saying, 'The club management has decided it is better if Fred Rutten and Feyenoord split straight away. 'Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was due to take over from Rutten next season, will now take charge.'
