Emi Martinez joins Reading on loan
Emi Martinez has joined Championship side Reading on loan for the remainder of the season. The 26-year-old, who has made 14 first-team appearances since joining us from Independiente in Argentina when he was just 17, spent last season on loan with Getafe in La Liga.
Emi has made one first-team appearance this season, playing the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 home win against Qarabag in the Europa League last month.
The Argentina youth international, who has also enjoyed loan spells at Oxford United, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham United and Wolves during his time with us, goes to Reading to gain more first-team experience. We wish Emi well for remainder of the season with the Royals....
