Arsenal news: Gunners legend sends stern warning to Arsene Wenger
The Gunners were beaten by Ostersunds this evening 2-1 at the Emirates but their 3-0 win in the first leg secured their place in the next round. Arsenal currently sit eight points outside the top four in the Premier League, meaning the Europa League could be their best hope of qualifying for next season’s Champions League. Manchester United became only the second side to win the competition since 2001 last year to book their place in Europe’s elite competition this campaign. And Pires, who reached the Champions League final with Arsenal back in 2006, believes Wenger must now put all his focus on winning the Europa League to ensure they don’t miss out once again.
