Everton to save former Arsenal defender from Spanish nightmare
Former Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has emerged as a summer transfer target for Everton, according to Metro. Despite not yet playing a game for Barcelona following his switch from the Gunners in the summer, Toffees boss Roberto Martinez is reportedly very keen on bringing the Belgium international to Goodison Park. It is claimed Everton are already planning for next season and a bid for the former Gunner may be on the cards in the coming months.
