Arsenal board urged to clarify Arsene Wenger future
The Arsenal Supporters' Trust (AST) have urged the club's board to clarify Arsene Wenger's future well before his current contract expires in 2019. Calls for the long-serving Frenchman to step down from his role at the Emirates Stadium have steadily grown in recent seasons, reaching unprecedented levels last term with regular protests against his continued employment. Even so, Wenger signed a new two-year deal after steering the Gunners to FA Cup glory at the end of the 2016-17 campaign and is now contracted to the club until at least 2019.
