Brighton & Hove Albion striker Tomer Hemed has been handed a three-match ban by the FA for violent conduct. The 30-year-old was charged following an incident in the 88th minute of his side's Premier League clash with Newcastle United on Sunday. Hemed appeared to stamp on the leg of Newcastle defender DeAndre Yedlin, although his action went unseen and unpunished by the officials at the time. The Israel international appealed the charge, but an FA panel have rejected that appeal and Hemed will now miss matches against Arsenal, Everton and West Ham United.
