Arsenal hoping to beat Chelsea to starlet's signature
Arsenal are hoping to pip Premier League rivals Chelsea and La Liga giants Barcelona to the signing of promising star Federico Valverde, that is according to reports in the Metro. The Penarol midfielder was recently scouted by Barcelona at the South American Under-17s Championship, a tournament in which he scored seven goals in nine games, and the youngster has also been shown around Arsenal's London Colney training facilities earlier this year.
